Scosha Loves - Arcy Hawks
July 18, 2025

This week, we conducted an interview with one of our longest-running wholesalers, Arcy Hawks. The luxury business owner is known for her no BS style and ability to curate the most unique and desirable designers in her collection. The interview was conducted by her daughter, one of our team members, Emma. With Arcy, we reminisce on the American Southwest, the love of horses, and the strength of family.
1. Tell us a bit about yourself!
"Hmmm. I don’t always like to talk about myself, but I’ll start with telling you I am from El Paso, Texas; one of four kids and the only girl. I had a love of horses and became part of the Escaramuza, a Mexican women’s riding team called Las Bikinas. I’m 60 years old, married to Brents Hawks for 32 years. I have two amazing kids that we raised in Jackson Hole, WY. Both live in Brooklyn, and one is conducting this interview. I moved to Jackson Wy in 1985 to work at a Ralph Lauren shop and fell in love with the mountains and Jackson became my home for the next 40 years. Became a climber, avid hiker, and started a small jewelry business. I now own Habits, a multi-brand shop, and have recently relocated to Victor, ID".

2. What is an Escaramuza?
"Escaramuza is a group of young ladies who ride side saddle in a drill team format for Mexican Rodeos. Being part of this group was a wonderful chapter. It brought me closer to my Mexican heritage, which I appreciate every day".

2. What and where was the best vacation you’ve had?
"I have had many great vacations. Not exclusive or fancy, but memorable. Taking our kids down the Green River in Utah for 5 days, camping on the banks of the river. Spending Emma’s 18th birthday in Paris with both my kids. Visiting the beaches of Normandy, going to museums, and sitting on the steps of the Sacre Coeur. So many trips to Disneyland and the arches of Moab. Not one singular but a collection of memories, all with my family. These vacations have inspired many loves; one, nature, the beauty that exists in the natural state. The vastness and often times solitude. It’s a place that is calming and restorative. Two, culture and history. Old buildings, the rich history of old civilizations, and our inescapable feeling that we are so young and still growing".

3. Who/What has been the most important guide in your life?
"This is a difficult question to answer. I, being someone who likes solitude, often don’t put myself in relationships that I feel take too much of my personal time. I would have to say my most important guide has been my children. They are the reason I grow and want to be a person they can be proud of".

6. How did you meet Scosha?
"Lastly, I discovered Scosha when I was the jewelry buyer for my friend's new shop in Jackson called Rodeo. It was at D&A, and Scosha had the most magical, delicate jewelry, and at the time, big jewelry was in style, and I wanted to veer off of that trend and find something that was a part of you and you could wear every day. That was well over 15 years ago, and we are still loving all her creations".
